I have been fighting with getting a site-to-site IPSec VPN tunnel between 2 Cisco SR500 series routers.  i think i have narrowed the problem down to one entry: when i put "set
security-association life seconds 3600" and later review the config; that entry does not save.   someone on another forum mentioned that it wont show if it is default.  but running a "show run all" i cannot see anything refering to 3600 anywhere in the config.

Most default settings will not display when performing a "show run" or "show config"
