1. Check Your Connection Status

Confirm with Verizon to see whether the network is working or not before troubleshooting the router. You can achieve this through the following steps:

  • Sign in to your online account management site, My Verizon.
  • Check for any pop-up service alerts on top of the screen.
  • Open chat and then type network outage.
  • Click enter and information should be displayed on the screen about any possible outage or if there is one, it will tell you.

If the Verizon connection is working, the yellow light indicates a problem at home. This means that you need to fix your hardware to be connected again.

2. Soft Reset the Router

A soft reset on the router means that you end the connection and re-establish it. When you do this, nothing changes in your network settings or router. Follow the steps below for a soft reset on your router:

  • Start by unplugging the router. This will disable the power completely so that the router can grab a completely new connection. Wait for about five to ten minutes before plugging them in.

3. Check Your Cables
