2521, 2522 Frame Relay

A frame relay switch is an invaluable part of any Cisco home lab, whether it’s for the CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE.

One of the main subject on any of the Cisco CCNA and CCNP certification exams is using and understanding Frame Relay. Frame Relay, sometimes considered a poor mans ATM, is one of the most popular WAN technologies in today’s networks. Getting hands-on experience with Frame Relay in Cisco networks isn’t just a good idea, it’s a necessity. But in order to get that hands on experience you need to have a Cisco 2521 or 2522 router. These handy little routers, though old, are still the main stay in any home lab.
